I had a nice day out again this week escorting my filly ZILZA to Kempton on Wednesday. She is so high maintenance, I’m glad I don’t live beside her at home, she gets so excited and fidgety. Anyway she finished 4th, she probably would have finished closer if she would only listen to me more and chill out a bit.

The following day my mate ROUGE NUAGE ran at his favourite track Wolverhampton. He was really looking forward to his race. I’ve been giving him grief since my win at Newmarket. He still can’t believe I won (I didn’t tell him I won because I was the prettiest one, I hope he doesn’t find out !!) His favourite jockey was there to ride him, his name is Jimmy Quinn, he is Irish just like me and talks to ROUGE just as much as me. ROUGE did say once that he sometimes wishes Conrad would run him in ear plugs ! He was so excited to start his race he actually started cantering before he got on the track ! He ran a brilliant race and he really had to stick his head out, he wasn’t sure where he finished there was 4 horses all in a row.  He walked back slowly to the winners enclosure waiting for the result, when he was announcement the winner there was a huge cheer and he said Liz and Conrad were jumping up and down and Jimmy nearly rubbed his mane off.

Liz didn’t come to work on Saturday, she went to somewhere called Burghley, I’ve been told that the horses there jump things like boats and houses, I think that’s a bit far fetched ! Josie took me out to escort ROUGE, now I want the ear plugs, he went on and on about his win.  I am really pleased for ROUGE, he does try hard and really did deserve to win, just don’t tell him, if his head gets any bigger they won’t be able to get a bridle on him.
