We’ve got MICK’S SPIRIT running today at Lingfield in the 2:20, believe it or not that is the 6th race of the day. It looks like a typical very tricky 5 furlong sprint handicap, which you could make a case for just about anything in the race. FAUSTUS has run off 86 before, HINT OF HUMOUR has won over course and distance, his most recent win has been at Wolverhampton. LEVEL UP formally rated 78, can make all the running and MICK’S SPIRIT, our horse, he’s won 8 races over this course and distance and if he has a proper going day, he can be very very competitive, he’s won off 4lb higher than this in the past. MANHATTAN CHUTE has been rated 88 in the past but it’s his first trial over 5 furlongs. GOGO YUBARI is in very good form, as a course and distance winner last time out and has been rate 70, so runs with a penalty on an official ratting of 55, so could still be well in and even DESDAMONA a horse out side of the market was a course and distance novice winner at this track and has beaten a horse call KINETIC FORCE, that is rated 77. If she reproduces that form, she could run very well.

What I’m trying to tell you, is that this is an extremely competitive handicap with MICK’S SPIRIT drawn 7th. Hopefully he can get out smartly and get to the front, taking a soft lead and kick on from the bend and I’m very hopeful for a big run from him day. Unfortunately there is one none runner so there are only 7 runners, meaning each way betting has been mucked up a little bit. But we can be very confident that MICK’S SPIRIT is in very good form, he’s travelled down well to the racecourse and we confident that he can win his 10th race, making that 9 at this track here today.
