Last night HIATUS delivered a resounding win at Chepstow piloted by Jack Gilligan, his second win of the year. The yard is in a rich vein of form at the moment with three wins in the last month and seven wins this year.

This will be a huge boost to the small team on Hamilton Hill, the stalwarts of TYGER BAY, MICK’S SPIRIT and HIATUS all delivering two wins a piece now and SCRAMBLE who finally delivered on what she had promised for some time. Conrad’s focus is very much horse centred, taking the time to find a horse’s sweet spot for success, rather than pushing for fast results and this is very much paying off.  The fact that TYGER BAY at 7 years old and MICK’S SPIRIT at 6 years old are still out and winning is testament to this.

Conrad was recently at the Guineas Breeze Up Sales to buy in new talent and scored two lovely fillies in lots 210 – a lovely filly by US Navy Flag from the family of Footstepsinthesand and lot 344 – an Invincible Spirit half sister to black type winners. These will join the current crop of two year olds being prepped for their first runs.
